Hi everyone! I’m trying to figure out what type of yoga is best for people with ADHD (or at least ADHD-like symptoms). I’m not looking for a “cure,” just something that helps me feel less scattered.
I work from home, my brain jumps tabs constantly, and I either procrastinate or hyperfocus until I’m fried. I tried a couple random YouTube “yoga flows” and sometimes they feel amazing… other times I get bored 3 minutes in and start checking my phone 😅
I’m also not super flexible and I feel awkward in group classes because I can’t follow long sequences if the teacher goes fast. I do like movement though, and I sleep better on the days I stretch.
So… for ADHD, is it better to do something more active like vinyasa/ashtanga, or something slow like yin? Or is it more about breathwork/meditation? Any beginner-friendly suggestions (including class style, cues, or how to stay engaged) would be really appreciated. And yes, I’m open to mixing yoga with therapy/other support if that’s the realistic answer.
