Hi everyone 🌿 I keep seeing the phrase “yoga for emotional resilience and healing” and I’m not totally sure what it actually means in real life (not just vague quotes). I’m not going through a dramatic crisis, but the last year has been heavy: work stress, some family tension, and I notice I get overwhelmed really fast. I’m also tired of “pushing through” everything.
I’ve done a few beginner classes and sometimes I feel calmer after, but other times emotions pop up and I feel awkward, like I’m doing it wrong. Is yoga for emotional resilience basically gentle yoga? Is it more about breathing? Meditation? Certain poses? If you’ve used yoga to feel more stable emotionally (and to heal from stress/old stuff), what does that look like week to week?
I’m looking for something safe and realistic I can do at home too. Thanks 💜
