Hi everyone. I’m trying to understand what yoga is “for emotional grounding after stress” in a practical way. I’ve had a pretty intense few weeks at work (deadlines + conflict), and even though things are calmer now, my body still feels on edge. Like my brain is spinning, my chest feels tight sometimes, and I get this restless feeling in the evening.
I’m not looking for a super intense workout. I’ve tried random YouTube yoga flows and sometimes I end up more “in my head” or overstimulated. What kind of yoga actually helps you feel grounded emotionally after stress? Are there specific poses, breathing, or a short routine you’d recommend for coming down? Also—how do you know if you’re doing it right when your emotions feel messy?
(And yes, if it matters: I’m a total regular person, not super flexible, and I don’t want anything that feels like performance.)
