Hi everyone 💜 I’m 18 weeks pregnant with my first and I keep seeing “prenatal yoga” classes at my local studio. I’ve done a few beginner yoga classes in the past, but I’m not flexible and I’m honestly nervous about doing something wrong now that I’m pregnant.
What is prenatal yoga like in real life? Is it mostly stretching on the floor, breathing, meditation, or are there still standing poses? Do you need special props? Also… is it awkward if you’re the only beginner in the room?
I’m mostly looking for something to help my back/hips and to chill my anxiety a bit, but I don’t want anything intense. Any descriptions of what a typical class looks like would help a lot.
