I keep hearing teachers say “find your flow state” during vinyasa classes, and everyone nods like it’s obvious 😅 but I’m not sure what they mean. Sometimes I feel super focused and time passes fast, other times I’m just thinking about whether my down dog looks weird or I’m rushing to keep up. Is flow state like a meditative thing? Or is it just moving smoothly without stopping?
For context: I go to a beginner-friendly vinyasa twice a week. I can follow the sequence but I get distracted by my breathing (like I forget it) and then I feel clunky. I’d love a simple explanation of what “flow state” is in vinyasa yoga and how to get closer to it without forcing it.
