I’ve been doing yoga on and off for a few months (mostly YouTube flows + one class a week), and I keep hearing people say “yoga rewires your brain” or “it changes your nervous system.” I’m curious what that actually means in real life.
For context: I work at a laptop all day, my brain feels like 27 tabs open, and I’m often anxious at night. Some days after yoga I feel calm and focused, other days I just feel… stretched and slightly annoyed 😅
So, what does yoga do to your brain? Is it just relaxation, or does it affect attention, emotions, memory, sleep, etc.? And does it matter if it’s vinyasa vs yin vs breathing exercises? Would love both science-ish explanations and personal experiences (without the “cure everything” vibe).
