Hi everyone, I’m new-ish to breathwork and I’ve been experimenting with kundalini breathing (mostly Breath of Fire and some long deep breathing) after a gentle yoga class. I’m not doing super long sessions—like 2–5 minutes—because I’m honestly a bit cautious.
What surprised me is the emotional side: sometimes I feel super calm and “open,” other times I get a sudden wave of sadness or irritation out of nowhere, and once I even felt like I could cry for no reason. It passes, but it’s intense.
Is that a normal emotional effect of kundalini breathing? Is it more like stress releasing, or am I doing it wrong? Any tips to keep it grounded and safe? (Not looking for medical advice, just your experiences.)
