I’ve been doing yoga for a few months (mostly YouTube flows and 1 class/week) and I keep hearing teachers say “make it a moving meditation.” I like the idea, but in practice my brain is everywhere: thinking about work, whether my pose looks wrong, what I’m doing later, even random stuff.
When I try to “meditate” during yoga, I either hold my breath, get tense, or I’m so focused on form that I forget any calm feeling. Is meditating during yoga supposed to feel like silent sitting meditation? Or is it more like just paying attention to breath?
Any simple techniques or cues that actually work while you’re moving (especially in vinyasa) would be really appreciated.
