I’ve been wondering: can yoga improve self discipline in a real, everyday way?
I’m not talking about forcing myself to be “perfect,” but more like… sticking to things. I start routines (gym, journaling, studying) and I’m consistent for like 10 days, then I drop it when work gets stressful or I sleep badly. I’ve tried meditation apps too, but I always quit.
I started doing beginner yoga at home 2–3 times a week (mostly short videos), and I noticed that on days I practice, I’m calmer and I procrastinate less. But I can’t tell if it’s just because I moved my body, or if yoga actually trains discipline over time.
If yoga helped you build self discipline, what kind (hatha, yin, hot, etc.) and what habits made the difference? Also: do you think it’s better to do 10 minutes daily or longer sessions fewer times per week? Thanks 💜
