I’ve been doing yoga on and off for a few months (mostly YouTube flows and one studio class). Something I notice is that I’m kind of… disconnected from my body? Like I don’t realize I’m clenching my jaw or tensing my shoulders until I’m already stressed, and my posture at my desk is a mess.
So I’m wondering: can yoga improve body awareness in a real, everyday way? Not just “feel the stretch” during class, but noticing how I breathe, how I stand, where I’m holding tension, etc. If yes, what style or habits actually help? I’m not looking for a miracle, just something that makes me more tuned in and less on autopilot.
