Hi everyone. I’ve been dealing with panic attacks on and off for about a year. Sometimes it’s out of nowhere: racing heart, tight chest, dizzy, and I feel like I can’t get a full breath. I’m already trying to do the “basic stuff” (sleep, less caffeine), and I’m considering therapy again, but I also want something I can practice daily.
I’ve done a few beginner yoga videos and I notice I feel calmer right after… but I’m not sure if that’s actually helping long term or if I’m just distracting myself. Also, some poses or fast flows make me feel more lightheaded.
So, realistically: can yoga help with panic attacks? If yes, what styles or breathing practices are safest to start with? And how do you avoid getting triggered by the breath focus? Any personal experiences welcome.
